Mission:
LifeSciencesNY is New York’s trade association for the bio/med industry. We are an innovative coalition of pharmaceutical, medical technology, and life sciences companies, research and academic institutions, suppliers, and service providers. We connect our member companies, entrepreneurs and academics to grow the region’s life sciences economy through collaboration, education, and advocacy. We have a vision of New York as a nationally recognized bio/med hub where companies and professionals seek to do business. We pursue that vision through our mission to develop the relationships, tools, and programs that enable our members to bring tomorrow’s medical solutions to the healthcare marketplace.

Mission:
Founded in 1991, NewYorkBIO is the premier trade association for biotech, medtech, and life sciences in New York State. NewYorkBIO directly supports the development and growth of the industry, and the organization serves its members and the greater life science community by providing a network for industry advocacy, discounts on lab supplies and resources through a purchasing consortium, and a robust annual schedule of community development events. NewYorkBIO brings together nearly 300 of New York’s bioscience companies, universities, research institutions, and others dedicated to advancing life science research and commercialization.

The Society of Physician Entrepreneurs (SoPE) is a global biomedical and healthcare innovation network with membership open to all healthcare professionals, entrepreneurs and industry stakeholders. SoPE was founded in 2011 by three physicians who shared a common vision – to empower physicians and other professionals to innovate healthcare through entrepreneurship. SoPE continues to gain momentum across the United States, Turkey, China and the United Arab Emirates, as well as with industry partners who directly support our members’ efforts. Members include doctors, nurses, dentists, healthcare entrepreneurs, investors, engineers, academics, IT professionals and industry representatives. What brings them together? Our community members share a common focus – working at the crossroads of innovation and commercialization to make a difference in healthcare. SoPE provides a platform for members to accelerate and catalyze innovation, as well as a separate supporting 501(c)(3) tax-exempt Foundation for scholarship and philanthropic endeavors to advance healthcare.
